Updated SVOG FaqsSVOG Application Portal

May 7, 2021

Dear Arts Action Fund members,

I’m happy to share some early stats on what the SBA is reporting on the number and amount of money requested in Shuttered Venue Operator Grant applications to date. Approximately 10,000 SVOG applications have been submitted in the initial two weeks of opening on April 26th, which represents $10 billion in SVOG requestedfunds out of a possibility of $16 billion. These numbers include applications for Priority 1, 2, and 3, which means that all eligible applicants that were successfully submitted could have a strong chance of being fully funded, regardless of their priority period. It also opens the promising possibility of receiving a second “supplemental grant” for first quarter 2021 losses.

SBA released its Shuttered Venues Daily Report with more detailed information slides as of 5-3-21. Below is the most recent slide of stats as of 5-6-21 with updated numbers, showing a slight uptick from 3 days ago.

Please continue to encourage your local performing arts organizations, venues, museums, movie theater operators, and talent representatives to apply for an SVOG grant. There are ample funds still available. Please come ask your questions and share your experiences at my next Zoom Office Hours on Friday, May 14th @ 11:00 am ET.
