Arts Policy Vote 2023
As a member of the Arts Action Fund, it’s time to cast your vote on our legislative arts policy agenda for this year. This vote will direct how the Arts Action Fund will use its time and resources to advocate for federal policies to support the arts and artists across the country. Together, we have and will continue to make a difference.
Please review our 2023 arts policy platform below and cast your vote on these four positions by Monday, April 17, 2023.
New Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) National and State GDP Data
On March 15, 2022, the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) released the latest Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and jobs data for the arts and culture sector. Please note that the data measures 2021 economic activity, which is still very much during the COVID-19 pandemic. Compared to 2020, there was a 13.7% increase nationally in GDP for the arts and culture sector, which now tops $1 trillion with over 4.85 million jobs! Customized GDP information for each state’s arts and culture sector is also now available.
