Bill Lehr

It is with a heavy heart that I need to inform you that longtime Americans for the Arts and Arts Action Fund board member Bill Lehr passed away on May 11, after time in hospice. We launched a news item this morning recognizing Bill’s many contributions to Americans for the Arts, the Arts Action Fund, the Americans for the Arts Foundation, and the arts sector at large. Bill was a personal mentor of mine and he provided the guidance and financial support to launch the Arts Action Fund PAC, the only PAC in the nation to support federal candidates, who will help advance the nonprofit arts in America.

The Americans for the Arts press release can be found on our website here: https://www.americansforthearts.org/news-room/americans-for-the-arts-news/the-enduring-legacy-of-william-bill-lehr-jr%E2%80%94americans-for-the-arts-remembers-a-friend-patron-and

Flowers and a note to his wife Beverlee were sent to their home and Americans for the Arts will make a donation to the Susquehanna Art Museum’s Bill Lehr Fund for Education and Exhibition Excellence.

Many thanks.
