President Obama Declares October to be National Arts and Humanities Month

On September 28th, President Obama signed an official Presidential Proclamation declaring October to be National Arts and Humanities Month.

National Arts and Humanities Month (NAHM) has been celebrated since 1985 as a way to nationally recognize the importance of the arts and humanities to communities across America. It has served as a vehicle for elected officials, business leaders and arts organizations to raise the profile of the arts nationwide, and encourage all Americans to make participation in the arts a lifelong habit.
