Help Celebrate National Voter Registration Day!

Arts advocates have a lot of tools at our disposal - facts and figures, the latest political news, partnerships with advocates across the country - but perhaps the most important tool is the ballot box. In 2016 America will elect a President, a new Congress, and scores of state and local officials. Our #ArtsVote2016 campaign is laying the groundwork for a new army of grassroots arts advocates who will let their voices be heard on Election Day. But not everyone who is passionate about the arts and arts education is registered to vote. That is why we have partnered with National Voter Registration Day, a bipartisan, non profit advocacy effort designed to encourage all eligible citizens to register to vote.

For those arts advocates who have just turned 18 or moved to another state, all the rules and regulations around voter registation can be daunting. That is why NVRD provides a simple and secure online form that eligible voters can submit in just a few minutes. That's all it takes to participate in the political process - the question is, do people know about it? That's where you come in! Spread the word to your friends, colleagues, and on social media. Use #NVRD and @CelebrateNVRD on Twitter, and go to the NVRD website for sample tweets and fun graphics to post on Facebook or Instagram.
