Body

On Monday March 5th, Arts Action Fund members received an e-mail encouraging them to cast their 2012 Policy Vote and comment on our long-term vision. Since then, grassroots advocates have sent in a number of responses.

Here are just a few.  Please, join the conversation and let your mighty voice be heard!

Love it, it is so important for kids to have exposure to and experience of the arts at all stages of their education!  The arts are not just for the wealthy, and we have to instill love for the arts in all kids at an early age, so that we can all enjoy the richness the arts bring to our lives.

GO FOR IT!

I think the platform makes two simple targets.  I encourage you to continue to develop advocacy tools that make it easy for Americans to engage their elected officials and donate to this and related causes.  Making the action quick, clear, and simple, and providing tools and models for other arts and advocacy groups to use or borrow helps with the coordination and amplification of message and efforts.

Yes, this is not the time to back off of creativity and innovation. We need this more than ever NOW!

--Peg H. of Longmont, CO

Arts are the life of every community, and are recognized as such financially much more in most countries of the world than here, in our United States. Let’s be leaders, not followers, in every field, and let's show the world how much we value the effects of the arts in our communities. They enable them to thrive and succeed.

I support this 100%. The more we do to get support for the arts the better.

--Kirill G. of San Juan Capistrano, CA

Your longterm vision is amazing and will be difficult to achieve without the entire support of the Arts community. I hope the federal government supports this measure.
