Holding Court: Art in Organizing and Activism webinar on July 19, 2023, helped to demonstrate how art and culture need to be incorporated into organizing and activism. In the beginning of the conversation, the panelists discussed Wyatt Tee Walker’s thoughts on an anthem of the Civil Rights Movement, “We Shall Overcome,” which Ken used in the opening pages of his book. Walker described how “We Shall Overcome” “generates power that is indescribable.” The panelists discussed how art and culture is a catalyst of energy for progressive movements.
