Contribute to the PAC!

The Americans for the Arts Action Fund and its Political Action Committee (PAC) is deeply rooted in democracy, the political process, and the empowering of every citizen’s vote as founded in our nation’s 234-year-old Constitution. Art is a bipartisan issue, and the Americans for the Arts Action Fund PAC reflects the values of its 421,000 members. We, as a community, are deeply offended by the deadly insurrection that took place at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. This undemocratic action was further exacerbated by 147 members of Congress attempting to disenfranchise Arizona and Pennsylvania voters, particularly those of color, by attempting to prevent one or both Electoral College state certifications. As a result, the Americans for the Arts Action Fund PAC is suspending contributions to these 139 House Members and 8 SenatorsAmericans for the Arts Action Fund PAC will continue to actively support the campaigns of those federally elected officials, who take active steps to enthusiastically advance the arts and uphold democracy in America.

Americans for the Arts Action Fund PAC is a connected political action committee of Americans for the Arts Action Fund. Only members of the Arts Action Fund may be solicited for PAC contributions, and it is only through this member-supported PAC that the Arts Action Fund is able to raise funds for candidates. All contributions will be used to support pro-arts Federal candidates in the elections. This direct support to candidates from PAC contributions is one of the most effective ways to help shape public policy. Members of Congress know that PACs connected to membership organizations represent an activist voting constituency. Americans for the Arts Action Fund, a citizen member advocacy organization, is now positioned to make a bigger difference in public arts policy.
