Americans for the Arts Action Fund PAC is a political action committee connected to Americans for the Arts Action Fund and is deeply rooted in democracy, the political process, and the empowering of every citizen’s vote as founded in our nation’s Constitution. Art is a bipartisan issue, and the Americans for the Arts Action Fund PAC reflects the values of its 421,000 members. We, as a community, are deeply offended by the deadly insurrection that took place at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. This undemocratic action was further exacerbated by 147 members of Congress attempting to disenfranchise Arizona and Pennsylvania voters, particularly those of color, by attempting to prevent one or both Electoral College state certifications. As a result, the Americans for the Arts Action Fund PAC is suspending contributions to these 139 House Members and 8 SenatorsHowever, the Americans for the Arts Action Fund PAC will continue to actively support the campaigns of those federally elected officials, who take active steps to enthusiastically advance the arts and uphold democracy in America.
