SHUTTERED VENUE OPERATOR GRANTS (SVOG) PROGRAM UPDATES FOR GRANTEES ONLY

Transition to the Active Grantee Phase
SBA is currently evaluating the remaining files that requested Reconsideration 2.0 and approximately 3,500 files that may qualify for a supplemental award under our expanded eligibility criteria using Q3/Q4 revenue data. As grantees’ awards are finalized, they will receive the Final Budget Action Item, which marks their transition into the Active Grantee phase. Please visit Manage your SVOG grant (sba.gov) for more information on this phase.

Introducing Grants Management Specialists
SBA will assign dedicated Grants Management Specialists to serve as a single point of contact for the SVOG grantees once the grantee’s award has been finalized. This will enable SBA to provide enhanced customer support and continuity as grantees complete the remainder of the grant spending and closeout periods. SBA Grants Management Specialists will be reaching out to grantees on a rolling basis over the next few weeks.

Next Processing Steps: Expense Report Action Item
Once Final Budgets have been approved, the next step for Grantees will be to complete their Expense Report action item.

  • Grantees have the remainder of their grant term to prepare for this Action Item.
  • Submitting the Expense Report will indicate that grantees have expended all funds and are ready for initial closeout.
  • Instructional videos related to the upcoming Expense Report Action item will be posted on the SBA’s website early next week. Grantees are encouraged to review this information before completing their Expense Report Action item.

SBA's Upcoming Office Hours Will Focus on Expense Report, Closeout, and Info to Connect with Your Grants Management Specialist
