Americans for the Arts Action Fund has launched an exciting and educational ArtsVote campaign with artwork designed by renowned contemporary artist and Americans for the Arts Artists Committee member Shepard Fairey. Entitled "Make Your Vote Count," the focus of our campaign is to educate artists and arts advocate voters on the important and clear steps they need to take to make their vote count and to do it EARLY. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, many states are dramatically changing the way citizens can vote with confusing new rules, new deadlines, and new certification systems. The campaign entails the following:

1. The ArtsVote Pledge to Make Your Vote Count: Once the pledge is taken, signers will be provided exclusive access to high resolution, downloadable images of the bold, new ArtsVote graphic. Exclusively designed for the Arts Action Fund, Shepard Fairey’s ArtsVote artwork is in both English and Spanish and comes in a variety of sizes for social media, websites, and Zoom virtual backgrounds.

2. State Voter Factsheets for all 50 states and 6 territories: Download your state's one-pager on the latest election rules and deadlines to guide voters to check the status of their registrations, request an absentee ballot (if applicable), learn when early voting begins, and find exactly where to vote. We've also partnered with 33 state arts advocacy organizations (to date) to help us make your vote count.

3. Participating Organizations: We're now inviting you, our member organizations, to participate in the campaign with us. You can use our graphic materials to link to all the resources on our ArtsVote site or directly to the state one-pager Voter Factsheets, which we regularly update as state election rules change. You can use two graphic images to participate in the campaign:

  • Use one of our many ArtsVote images created by Shepard Fairey on your website and social media, then link it to www.ArtsActionFund.org/ArtsVote
  • Use the blue map graphic (see images below – Houston and Orange County shown as examples and the USA map for national orgs) that we will customize with your organization's logo (translucent background preferred) on it so you get specific branding recognition, then link the graphic to www.ArtsActionFund.org/StatebyStateVoterInfo on your own website and social media.

If you would like to participate in this campaign to educate voters in your community and state on how to make their vote count this year, please let us know by clicking the button below where you can also upload your logo. If you have questions, e-mail Morgan Furnari ([email protected]).
