Dear Nancy Hanks Lecture Registrant,

As our nation responds to the rapidly growing threat posed by the COVID-19 pandemic virus, we, like so many other organizations, are contacting you to share some regretful news: The Americans for the Arts 33rd Annual Nancy Hanks Lecture on Arts and Public Policy, featuring Vijay Gupta, will not take place on March 30, 2020. The Lecture is being postponed for a future date and when we have more information, we will be sure to let you know.

Please also note that Americans for the Arts has cancelled the National Arts Action Summit and Arts Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill on March 30-31, 2020. Details of an alternative virtual webinar for advocacy training will be coming soon.

Attendee health and safety is our highest priority, and with many impacted states issuing guidance,  travel restrictions and the District of Columbia declaring an official Health Advisoryand State of Emergency yesterday, it became clear that we could not host any in-person convenings in Washington, D.C.

Should you have further questions, please email [email protected] or call (202) 371-2830.

Thank you and we stand with you in this trying time and hope you stay safe and healthy.

Sincerely,

Robert L. Lynch

President and CEO
