The National Endowment for the Arts released the national list of 855 grantees of its direct CARES Act funding. All organizations received a general operating grant of $50,000 with no matching requirements. A total of 45 local arts agencies received $50,000 grants to help cover their own expenses. An additional 9 local arts agencies were awarded $250,000 grants to re-grant locally in Boston, Chicago, Lafayette Colo., Memphis, Phoenix, Reno, Santa Cruz, Santa Rosa, and Tucson. These newly awarded grants are in addition to the $30 million in NEA's CARES Act funding that was already allocated in April to all the state and regional arts agencies for regranting locally within your state and region.
