50 States 50 Days Toolkit

Five Steps to Host a 50 State 50 Days Event 

  1. Review the Toolkit below for a complete description of the 50 States 50 Days initiative. Watch the step-by step videos on how to plan an event and tips for success.
  2. Contact your state advocacy leader to see if they are working on a similar or nearby event.
  3. Invite your member of Congress to your event or an event already happening in your area. 
  4. Register your event!
  5. Post pictures and video from your event.

Draft Invite to Member of Congress – a template form for you to customize so you can invite your member of Congress, or congressional candidates to an event. They are beginning to arrange their schedules now for the August recess, so get on their radar early and contact them now. At a minimum, you might be able to announce an event and list the member of Congress as "invited" as their office considers the invitation

Customizable Press Release – a press release for you to edit and issue when your event is ready to announce.  You can also use the Media Alert tool to send an op-ed to your local media in just two minutes!
