The attached letter to Congress is signed by the presidents of 12 national unions representing over a half million arts and entertainment professionals. The letter urges Congress, at a minimum, to maintain current funding levels for the NEA, NEH, and CPB. The letter goes on to explain how eliminating federal funding for the three agencies will cost jobs and hurt local economies across the country, particularly in places far from cultural centers like New York City and Los Angeles.
